so it turned out last week passed by pretty quickly, especially towards the end of it. finally got to meet up with charbee&co. i haven't laughed so fucking hard for so long man. haha it's like our year 1 days are back again. but i pity those who were in the same BK as us. i swear we were as irritating and loud as we can be. especially since priya's half deaf now, she can't really watch her volume. hahaha. oh and ade bought me a frickin cute tee that has 2 cameras "hanging" from the collar! haha will post a picture once it's out of the wash. (:

oh yea, and last week, i also discovered that i missed out on one of these frickin cute Make A ________ postcards that gwyn&i have been collecting. balls! i really love these postcards lah, and needless to say, the camera's my favourite one! haha. big giveaway eh! i've been keeping two of each. but guess whaaaaat. the only one that i don't have is the mobile phone one! so if any of you has it, PLEASE GIVE MEEEEEEEEE! :( i have several aeroplanes that i can trade with you!

okay gotta run for work now. man i'm quite sick of working, even though i just had 1.5 weeks of break prior to being called in last thursday. oh my goddddd. i don't think i'll survive in the working world next time. i should just find someone rich and marry her, be a house husband, cook and take care of the kids. not a bad life. at least i'll still have time to surf eBay for cameras when the kids are having their afternoon naps.. and if they don't sleep.. i'll spank em'. HAHAHAHA.

anyway, speaking about Leica, its quite sad. the world renowned camera optics maker seems to be hopping onto the digital bandwagon too. i hope it will still continue to make film rangefinders despite the introduction of the new Leica M8 which is a digital rangefinder like the Ricoh GRD and the the Epson RD-1(S). definitely, it has produced enough robust film cameras that would last film enthusiasts for another few centuries. but i just feel that the whole thing about digital photography is quite saddening.

honestly, i used to embrace digital photography so much, the convenience it brought to our lives. not that its not convenient anymore, but after discovering film photography with my analog SLR, man... digital sucks. 

i don't exactly know how to put it in words, but its just a totally different feel. from the time you load your film into your camera till the time you see you prints... the whole process of it all is just so... magical. haha. sounds really cheesy, but yea. i used to hate film. the kind of money you need to spend on it, the idea of having to wait for your prints (not that i print alot nowadays, i still get my negs scanned 80% of the time), the whole thing about having to finish one whole roll before getting to see that one picture you're dying to see. but gradually, i guess i learnt to embrace film.

of course, digital is convenient and fast but it is also costly. one will always need to continually upgrade to full frame sensors, higher resolution and better image quality. not to mention photo editing software, computers and storage. the technology that has been brought into photography has just made everything about photography so much more complicated and less enjoyable.

but don't get me wrong, i'm not asking you to dump your digital cameras because film cameras are more worthy. digital is here to stay, but just give the good old film a little more credit. :) i truly hope that film will not suffer the same fate from many other innovations from the past, to be a victim of technology. 

side note: i can't wait for photojourn next semester. if i don't get photojourn, i will cut my balls and hang it on an old fig tree. so at least when my jewels dry up and shrivel, it'll still look like part of the tree. oh and, the new iPod nano looks like crap..

not too long ago, i found Larry on the internet. and since the first time we've met, i've fallen in love with him so deeply. every day and night, i would spend my free time admiring his beauty... i knew a long distant relationship would never work out for the both of us, so one day i decided to pay for his ticket to Singapore.. so we could embrace each other.. and 2 weeks later.. he came... wrapped in a cardboard box.. with foam.
